The Writer, Patricia Landolfi, and Director, Federico Seggara, are a married couple from the Dominican Republic. Patricia has said multiple times that this story is inspired by God. She truly gives the Lord all of the honor and I know for me personally I felt at peace filming this movie because I know that we would be surrounded in prayer (which we were: every single day, every single scene). A super cool fact is that the script for this film was written in Spanish and then was translated to English.
