Have you ever had God speak a prophetic Word to you that seemed impossible? We continue to talk in this episode about walking a long walk of faith in a prophetic Word. Sometimes something that is communicated in the Word is confusing, or we do not understand what the Lord is trying to say. How to put things on the shelf and pray over them. Taking responsibility for what we heard: How our response to words from the Lord MOSTLY is between He is us directly. WE chose to believe and WE take practical action with sometimes not telling anyone else what He told us. When God has big plans like many nations, he can’t perform that word in five or 10 years. Those words need many years to increase wealth, assets, abilities and influence so that AS the first child or first part of the promise begins, there is enough laid aside for the entire promise to come to pass. Abraham HAD to increase first because he was the template that God was using for US the NT Church. Galatians 3:13-14 says that it is the same blessing (and its impact it had) on Abraham, that is legally available to ANYONE in the NT church. So God wants Abraham to maximize ability to believe LONG and STRONG for something BIG. That way, we can as well. The process that God walked Abraham through and all the blessings that came with it, from increase to hearing Him and encounters even, is what is legally available for us as NT believers to access as well by the finished work of Jesus. A big reason we do not want to short changed the process. There are real things that need to be done in the time between the Word and it’s fulfillment.
Another reason time has to pass, is that sometimes things have not been invented or started yet. So those things need to be invented like an APP, or an invention has to be done first. Or a government has to shift, a church built, or person born, or moved into your town, or many others things that have to happen FIRST. So in the meantime, you get your part done.
The last reason why sometimes God gives us a word that might not make sense when we hear it, is because the word is for a season that we are not in yet. A good example is in 2 Kings 4 when Elisha asks the Shunammite woman if she needs favor with a king or commander. She does not at that time. But 4 chapters later after several years have past, she does. Do not discount or speak against words that might NOT make sense at the time it was given. HANG ON! You might need it, or see the reason for it in your next season.
