David might be the best-known example of a music ministry. The Lord used his music to bring healing to Saul when tormented by evil spirits. Music is spiritual and one tool the Lord uses to bring His divine healing to hearts and minds. The Bible also talks about songs of deliverance. We talk about the power of music to carry God’s anointing that breaks captives free. How the Lord uses music ministry on the streets and in many of the ministries we have been part of to bring deliverance, breakthrough and healing to people experiencing severe trauma. Psalm 32:7
Godly men and women make provision for the worship of the Lord in the house of God and for the next generation. King David in 1 Chronicles 15 and 16 laid out instruction for people to be set aside to ensure that after he was gone, the worship of the Lord would continue. Instruments and singers. Godly men and women raise up worship leaders. David wrote a song in 1 Chronicles 16 to encourage the people as they dedicated the Ark of His Presence , Ark of the Covenant
Sing, remember, declare, and sing…to remain strong in the Lord and in His Presence. Music and melody belong to the people of God. God’s people are people of great praise! It doesn’t matter what our circumstances are, we are always able to praise God for who He is.
When we face battles we are to always put our Praise out ahead of us. Praise goes before the people of God so that God can fight the battle for us. 2 Chronicles 20 Like with King Jehoshaphat and spending 3 days picking up the spoils.
When we find ourselves on the field of conflict, we are not to turn and run the other way. We are to stand our ground, praise the Lord and declare the Word of the Lord. Our praise goes ahead of us and prepares the path of victory for us.
