Here are some reasons we will need POWER to walk out our callings:
They are God given, not man given or man driven, God only gives us plans that require He and us to walk out together, His plan all along, Adam and Even
We are walking them out not on neutral territory but with active opposition to those plans
Power is needed to push back on the darkness to ADVANCE the light and life of God
We do not carry enough power in our minds or flesh to pull the thing off
Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for unto salvation for every person who dares to believe, for the Jew and the Greek, not one person left out
1 Corinthians 2:5
…4My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5so that your faith would not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. 
Acts 1:8 You shall receive power from on high, when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. 8  and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

POWER:
• Life or death is in the creative power of the tongue, so we speak life. Prov. 18:21
• We have the power of the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit
• Power is different than authority, although we have been given both.
• The born again believer has both power and authority.

Matthew 28:18
All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth
All authority is given by God
All authority is put into place by God. Romans 13:1
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Power and Authority, Authority, little old lady, with legal right to stop traffic or write ticket
• POWER OVER the adversary:
• POWER is for PURPOSE
• Our power is ETERNAL, LEGITIMATE, GOD GiVEN, GOD’s SUPERNATURAL power in Us.

Holy Spirit UPON releases the POWER of GOD in our lives.
The enduement of power. Act 1:8
“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:16-20

It is power for PUSH BACK, purpose, plans and pursuits

Power:
Of the second birth, the Holy Spirit IN you, Ephesians 3
Holy spirit upon you. Acts 1:8 the enduement of power for signs, wonders and miracles

Releases the 9 gifts into the life of the believer as the spirit wills

The Revelatory Gifts:
Word of knowledge – past or present
Word of wisdom – future
Discerning of spirits – seeing and perceiving in the spirit realm

The Power Gifts:
Gift of faith
Gifts of healings
Working of miracles

The Vocal Gifts:
Tongues
Interpretation of tongues
Prophecy

Power to resist sin
Power to be strengthened in our weak areas
The power of Praise: Keep us in His Presence….Psalm 100:4
Sends confusion on the enemy’s camp 2 Chronicles 20
Power of revelation or Knowing and seeing things to come: John 16:13
Rapture
30 minutes of silence in heaven
Power of the Word…
God backs it up, He ACTS on it, Jeremiah 1:12
Truth, it is WHO God is and What He does, it is WHO we are and what we do
Stand on it and the enemy has to back off, it has been defeated by the Word

You and I are called to GROW and become SKILLED in operating in the POWER of God. It is not an option. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, is a gospel of God’s POWER unto salvation. Romans 1:16, and we need His power for OUR lives and then to minister into the lives of OTHERS.
