That which was taken from you, YOU SHALL PURSUE, OVERTAKE AND RECOVER ALL! THE LORD WILL ADD THE INCREASE! Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38

Ziklag, a town that was part of the Israelites inheritance and given to David had been attacked and destroyed. The Amalekites had invaded and burned the city and captured all the wives and children from Ziklag while David and his men were away. Upon their return, they saw the devastation that came upon them and the peoples heart became grieved. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 How could this have happened when they trusted their leader, David? Their once loyalty turned to wanting to stone him because their anguish became unbearable. (1 Samuel 30:6) But David strengthened himself in the Lord.

How did He do this? He inquired of the Lord. He prayed, He encouraged himself by the word of the Lord. Exodus 14:13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. Your Attack Become Your Victory!

An Egyptian who served the Amalekites army was left behind during the raid, and found by David and his 400 men, on their pursuit to find and reclaim what was lost. 1 Samuel 30:15-16 God will use your enemies to bring about your breakthrough if need be! David attacked the Amalekites from morning until evening. David recovered all! 1 Samuel 30:18 The Lord added the increase. He took the flocks and the other livestock and said, “This is David’s spoil!” 1 Samuel 30:20

Ziklag means measured pressed down. That which was taken from you, YOU SHALL PURSUE, OVERTAKE AND RECOVER ALL! THE LORD WILL ADD THE INCREASE! Strengthen yourself in the Lord, inquire of the Lord and Your portion which is measured, and pressed down Your Ziklag, which is your inheritance, will be restored with increase by the hand of the Lord.
