Music itself carries the power to revive us because music is spiritual, and we ARE spirit beings, with our very core BEING SPIRIT. Therefore, when we are personally weary, in the moment, like at the gym, or in a season, like covid or some other challenge or trial, soaking in praise and worship, will keep our spirits alive unto God, and revived on a daily basis.

Music also plays a key role in revival in the body of Christ, or the local church. King David made provision for music and worship to always be available for the people of God, so that the Lord would always be able to revive them. When the church is battle weary from elections, covid, oppression from the adversary, the church can press into music and worship and the Lord revives us as a corporate body.

When the church is going through battles, the Lord will ADVANCE the church by releasing NEW SONGS in the church. Like in 2 Chronicles 20, the Lord will release a NEW SOUND to go out in FRONT of a NEW BATTLE. When God’s people need DELIVERANCE from their enemies, the Lord sings over them, He releases a SOUND from heaven, or SONG from heaven to do that. Psalm 32:7. Music and powerful songs that release the POWER and PRESENCE of God are ESSENTIAL for the advancement of the kingdom, especially in these last days.

When God’s people come through a victory, we RESPOND to that VICTORY WITH NEW SONGS, like Miriam on the other side of the Red Sea.
When God moves there is a SOUND attached. Music is sound. The NT Church was birthed in a SOUND, the sound of the mighty rushing wind. That SOUND from heaven came as a RESPONSE to the SOUND of WORSHIP, that the meeting had just sent up. Acts 2:1, they were in one accord, worshipping unto the Lord…

During Covid, the Lord had the entire body of Christ pressing into the Word, prayer and praise and worship, so that the body of Christ is coming out of covid STRONGER than we went in and READY for REVIVAL and the NEXT move of God, or outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The level of authority and Power released is directly proportional to our PRAYER and PRAISE time. We tell the story of observing this in both the church and ministry our one daughter is on staff for, as well as at Oral Roberts University (ORU) where our other daughter is, and the result of the President being obedient to teach the students HOW to stand on the Word and PUSH BACK and RESIST the adversary.

When we want revival ‘in the church’ it becomes a matter of knowing how to LIVE in revival in our PERSONAL , DAILY lives. Corporate revival and revival in the body of Christ comes from US making DAILY choices to press into PRAYER, Word and the PRAISE of God. The BEST way to contend for revival in your PERSONAL life, marriage, money, ministry, business, body building and books or whatever it is, is to press into PRAYING in the SPIRIT. This releases the POWER of God to heal, restore and REVIVE.

We can bring revival to others and ourselves on a daily basis by singing and releasing little songs unto the Lord. We can all be psalmists on some level. The Bible tells us to sing and make music unto the Lord. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Ephesians 5:19. Revival is the result of OVERFLOW. Living in the overflow on a constant and continual basis, by LIFESTYLE, glory to God.
