Are You Sick Because You Sinned? Sometimes sickness is due to sin but not always. In John 9, Jesus healed the man born blind.
The disciples asked Jesus, who sinned that this man was born blind, him or his parents? Jesus said: neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day…(John 9:2-4a).
Jesus did the works of God – He healed him How did He heal him? He spit on the ground, made mud, put it on the blind man’s eyes and told him to go wash in the pool of Siloam. The man did exactly as Jesus told him and was healed! Later on in John, verse 38, he believed in Jesus and became his follower.
The key is not “Why” he was blind but that the works of God be done! What should our focus be when works of the devil try to take root in our lives? Join Apostle Cathy Coppola on this powerful teaching.
